CONVERSANDO CON DIOS, Conversing with God

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. - Jeremiah 29:13

Conversing with God in unabashed candor is never easy. Praying does not depend on mental gymnastics or lofty theological abstractions. It is more inner argumentation or storytelling. As long as it is real, as we hide nothing from God of what we are really feeling - anger and joy, frustration and thanksgiving-our prayer is good. God sees the innocent child in us and our rebellious pride. God hears pleas for forgiveness and our cravings for revenge. God accepts worry words and our surrender, our selfish motives and our selfless moments. When our thoughts and feelings are not pleasing to God, we must be honest with Him, because we can not deceive Him. We should ask God to change those thoughts or feelings: "Lord, we pray that each day you give us clean hands and pure hearts, and that our prayers may be sincere and reflect the true in the depths of our souls."

Have a blessed week,

  3. What a great message for all to read who has ever tried to lose weight. I really like the photo of the cat. I think if we are all honest with ourselves...we would probably be praying along with that cat. God bless, Lloyd
