Efesios 5:1-14 ~ "Sed pues, imitadores de Dios como hijos amados: Y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó á sí mismo por nosotros, ofrenda y sacrificio á Dios en olor suave. Pero fornicación y toda inmundicia, ó avaricia, ni aun se nombre entre vosotros, como conviene á santos; Ni palabras torpes, ni necedades, ni truhanerías, que no convienen; sino antes bien acciones de gracias."
Hay muchas cosas que debemos cambiar y arreglar de nosotros mismos cuando nos decidimos venir al Señor. En ocasiones, el estrés y las demandas de la sociedad muchas veces pueden influir en la forma en que actuamos y nos comportamos. Aveces se nos hace difícil caminar como Jesús, pero a través de la oración y la fe podemos vivir cada día en acción de gracias, incluso cuando las cosas no nos gustan o pensamos que por lo que estamos pasando es injusto. Todo tiene un propósito y todo lo que necesitamos es ser agradecidos y comportarnos como hijos de luz.
¿Pero qué implica ser hijos de luz? Hay muchas cosas más, pero aquí están algunas que nos hacen hijos de la luz.
- Cuando estamos alrededor de la oscuridad, las personas pueden ser sombrías y negativas, pero nosotros debemos andar en la luz y actuar positivamente.
- Cuando hay injusticia no debemos ser participes de la injusticia o de falsas acusaciones, debemos ser justos.
- Cuando vemos tristeza, nunca debemos de dejar a alguien con el ceño fruncido, sin tratar de hacer sonreír a esa persona. Quizás ofrecer orar por el o ella y demostrar que estamos ahi para servir de apoyo. Como hijo de Dios, siempre debemos estar felices, incluso en tiempos de prueba.
- Donde hay desunión debemos actuar como lazos de paz, y siempre buscar la manera de unir a la familia y amigos. Nunca debemos de tomar parte de los criticadores, ni de los buscadores de culpa. Debemos hacer notar lo positivo de los demás y buscar la unión.
- Donde hay odio, debemos ser amor. Cuando actuamos en el amor de Dios, no causamos daños a otros, ni nos dejamos preocupar por tonterías. Un corazón lleno de amor es un corazón con una sonrisa, y las personas sonrientes no saben odiar :)

Ephesians 5:1-14 ~ Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
There so much to work on and change of ourselves when we decide to come to the Lord. On occasions society's stress and demands can many times influence how we act and behave. It's hard to walk like Jesus at times, but through prayer and faith we can live everyday in thanksgiving even when things we may not like or think are unfair happen. Everything has a purpose and all we need is to be thankful and behave as children of light.
But what exactly involves being children of light? There is a whole lot more, but here are a few of the things that make us children of light.
- When we are around darkness, everyone else may me gloomy and negative, but we must be in light and act positive.
- When there is injustice we should not take part of injustice or false accusations, we must seek to be righteous.
- When we see sadness, never leave someone with a frown without trying to make them smile. We must be joy a child of God, always happy even in times of trials.
- Where there is disunity we must be the bonds of peace, always seek of ways to unite family and friends never take part of critics and fault finders, instead look for the positive.
- Where there is hate we must be love. When we act in the love of God, we will not hurt each other, nor will we get stress out about anything nonsense. A heart full of love is a heart with a smile, and smiley people do not know how to hate :)
