Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all! May the blessings of the Lord fall upon you and your family. I will be on a short blog break through the holidays enjoying this wonderful time with the family.

Mery Christmas and Happy New Year!

¡Feliz Navidad y Un Bendecido Año Nuevo!

Isaiah 9:6-7 - For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Pretty Paper and Fancy Ribbons, PAPEL BONITO y LISTONES de LUJO

@PUCMM

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.- Micah 5:2

There are evidences that demonstrate Jesus was born in the beginning of autumn in the year 2 BC. He was born into a humble family in Bethlehem Judea. Joseph and Mary were obliged to travel to Judea, home of Joseph's ancestors,  to register for the census ordered by Caesar Augustus. As Mary was soon to give birth and there was no room available, they stopped to rest in a stable. There in the stable, Jesus was born and was placed in a manger. (see Luke 2:1-7).

Shouldn't we investigate why the birth of Jesus is celebrated in December, when He was born in the beginning of autumn? I did some research and found out almost everything we tend to do as custom at Christmas's is not mentioned in the Bible and many customs have pagan descent. Before we stressed ourselves and spend all that we have and even what we don’t have, research about Christmas traditions and their origin. Meditate on what is the real reason to celebrate. The greatest gift of our entire life did not come wrapped in pretty paper with fancy ribbons, and placed underneath a tree decorated with a large number of vain decorations and artificial lights, He came in the most simplest form filled with his own bright, merciful, heavenly and everlasting LIGHT! Jesus is the gift to be proud of and reason to celebrate!

Enjoy your week and may the presence of our Lord be in your hearts and minds,

Dios con Nosotros, God With Us, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit acted together in the act of incarnation, by which Christ became man. Angels presented Jesus as Savior "~ Luke 2:11." He will be called Emmanuel, which means, God with us. "~ Matthew 1:23.

1 John 4:9-11 ~ "This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."

Have a blessed Christmas and New Year, in unity with your family. May this new year bring us closer to God, and may his love reign in our hearts. Cheers to a 2013 of  more faith and victory in the name of Jesus Christ!

Burrito Campesino, Country Donkey

In their journey to Bethlehem, Mary and Joseph, used a donkey as their transportation. Today we worry so much about traveling super comfortable, and about having luxury vehicles. Some only buy luxury cars, at times to call attention or for appearance only. Mary, who found grace in God, and was chosen to give birth to the Savior of the world, was traveled to Bethlehem in a simple donkey. God did not see the need for a Bugatti, a Ferrari or a Mercedes Benz, or even of  a  luxury horse.

Donkey belongs to a neighbor.
Once again, this goes to show that material things are of matter only to the world, to God, these things mean nothing. Here we can see the world's biggest miracle gift came in simple form with out any appearance . Let's find our luxury within, and see how valuable we are to God, no matter what we have or don't have.

Luke 2:1-7 ~  In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.  (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.), And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

A Gift from Above, Un Regalo del Cielo

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16

With our hands we give gifts that money can buy, Diamonds that sparkle like stars in the sky
Trinkets that glitter like the sun as it rises, Beautiful baubles that come as surprises,
but only our hearts can feel real love, And share the gift of our Father above. - H. Steiner Rice

Have a Happy and Blessed New Year,

NAVIDAD, CHRISTMAS

NAVIDAD

CHRISTMAS

And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. - Luke 2:7

Christmas is a celebration of the heart and spirit!

In the first Christmas, there was no place for the baby Jesus in the inn, but in our hearts we should always reserve a place for the love, hope and faith that the child of Christmas brought to the world. The development of Jesus' life, love, peace and faith, began on a day much like today.

Although much emphasis is made on celebrating in this date, the true date that we should celebrate is the death and resurrection of our Savior because through His sacrifice we were all saved. The actions and teachings of Jesus should be our reason to celebrate. This day can be one of rebirth, the beginning of a new life (ours), a celebration of the heart and spirit to continue through the new year. Jesus is not a baby anymore, he is the KING that REIGNS in Heaven NOW! He is the living Christ that we should celebrate and not the child that no longer exists, do not let anyone or anything take away from the glory of the majestic and gracious act of Jesus Christ! Let's proclaim He reigns in Earth and in our homes as well.

Wish you a blessed holiday in unity with your family and friends. May the new year be full of spiritual growth and with it all the blessings,

Los Ángeles, The Angels

The angel said to him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. - Luke 1:19

The Angels played an important role in the history of Christmas because they were the messengers of God who gave the good news of Jesus' birth. Like angels, the teachings of Jesus and our ideas, fill our minds and bring the good news: God's spirit is reborn in us NOW!

Every day is a new beginning, every moment is a new opportunity to feel the presence of God in our lives. When we pray, we join in a silent communion with God and open our minds and hearts to new and divine ideas. Wherever we are living now, we live in the presence of God as the angels in the Bible, we should rejoice because when we are in his presence, we are truly on holy ground.
