1 Juan 4:9-11 ~ "Así manifestó Dios su amor entre nosotros: en que envió a su Hijo unigénito al mundo para que vivamos por medio de él. En esto consiste el amor: no en que nosotros hayamos amado a Dios, sino en que él nos amó y envió a su Hijo para que fuera ofrecido como sacrificio por el perdón de nuestros pecados. Queridos hermanos, ya que Dios nos ha amado así, también nosotros debemos amarnos los unos a los otros."

Les deseo una feliz y bendecida Navidad y un Nuevo Año 2013, en unión con sus familiares. Que este nuevo año nos conduzca a estar más cerca de Dios, y que su amor reine en nuestros corazones. Celebremos por un año nuevo de crecimiento en la fe, y de victoria en el nombre de Jesucristo!

Burrito Campesino, Country Donkey

In their journey to Bethlehem, Mary and Joseph, used a donkey as their transportation. Today we worry so much about traveling super comfortable, and about having luxury vehicles. Some only buy luxury cars, at times to call attention or for appearance only. Mary, who found grace in God, and was chosen to give birth to the Savior of the world, was traveled to Bethlehem in a simple donkey. God did not see the need for a Bugatti, a Ferrari or a Mercedes Benz, or even of  a  luxury horse.

Donkey belongs to a neighbor.

Once again, this goes to show that material things are of matter only to the world, to God, these things mean nothing. Here we can see the world's biggest miracle gift came in simple form with out any appearance . Let's find our luxury within, and see how valuable we are to God, no matter what we have or don't have.

Luke 2:1-7 ~  In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.  (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.), And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

El burro es de un vecino.

En su jornada hacia Belén, María y José, usaron como transporte un burro.  Hoy en día nos forzamos por andar super cómodos, y en buenos vehículos. A veces hay quienes compran solo autos lujosos, muchas veces por llamar a la atención o por apariencia.  María, quien hallo gracia en Dios, y fue la elegida para dar a luz a el salvador del mundo, fue llevada a Belén en un simple burro. Dios no vio la necesidad de un Bugatti, un Ferrari o un Mercedes Benz, ni siquiera de un caballo de lujo. Esto nos muestra una vez más que lo material es de solo de este mundo y que para Dios, lo material, no tiene ninguna importancia. Aquí podemos ver que el regalo más grande del mundo vino en forma sencilla, y sin apariencia. Busquemos nuestro valor, en nuestro interior, y así podremos ver lo valioso que somos para Dios, sin importar lo que tenemos.


Lucas 2:1-7 ~ Por esos días, Augusto César promulgó un edicto en el que ordenaba levantar un censo de todo el mundo.Este primer censo se llevó a cabo cuando Quirino era gobernador de Siria,por lo que todos debían ir a su propio pueblo para inscribirse. Como José era descendiente de David y vivía en Nazaret, que era una ciudad de Galilea, tuvo que ir a Belén, la ciudad de David, que estaba en Judea,para inscribirse junto con María, que estaba desposada con él y se hallaba encinta.Y mientras ellos se encontraban allí, se cumplió el tiempo de que ella diera a luz,y allí tuvo a su hijo primogénito; y lo envolvió en pañales, y lo acostó en un pesebre, porque no había lugar para ellos en ese albergue.

Oración Para Los Conductores, Prayer for Drivers

Salmos 91:11-12 ~ Porque él ordenará que sus ángeles te cuiden en todos tus caminos. Con sus propias manos te levantarán para que no tropieces con piedra alguna. 

A noche presencie un accidente automovilístico. Me quede indignada ya que el "conductor" del auto choco un hombre que iba en un motor y siguió corriendo sin parase. El pobre hombre del motor quedo ahí tirado en la oscuridad en el medio de la nada sin saber a quién reclamar. Conseguimos que fueran a auxiliarlo, pero desafortunadamente no pudimos ver la placa de quien lo choco.

En este país hay muchas personas que andan en motores sin luces, sin casco protectores, no se mantienen a la derecha de la vía y muchas veces no respetan las reglas de transito. Los motoristas son los causantes de la mayoría de accidentes de tránsito, y para desgracia de todos nada se hace al respeto. Me pongo en el lugar de los dos y sé que es algo para asustar y afectar tanto al las victimas como a los victimarios.

Cada vez que guio, digo una oración. La compartiré hoy con ustedes por si no tienen esa costumbre, empiecen desde hoy a encomendar a Dios sus viajes y pedirle su protección.

“Gracias Dios por este día, en el nombre de Jesús te pido que guardes mi camino, aclara todos los vehículos delante y detrás de mi. Que no sea yo la que guie, si no Tú. Protégeme para que yo no tenga un accidente, ni sea causante de uno. Ayúdame a llegar sana y salva a mi hogar o (trabajo). AMEN.” 

Psalm 91:11-12 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

 Last night I witness a car accident. I was shocked by the action of the "driver" who continued to drive away as if nothing had happen after he runned over a motorcycle driver. The poor motorcyclist lying there in the dark, in the middle of nowhere without knowing whom to claim. We got help for him, but unfortunately we could not see the license plate of the hit and run car.

In this country there are many motorcycles drivers who ride without lights, without their protective helmets, they do not yield to the right of the road and almost always do not respect traffic rules. Motorcyclist are the cause of most traffic accidents, and unfortunately for all of us, nothing is done to prevent this. I put myself in the place of the two and I know it's something to frighten and affect both the victims and the perpetrators.

Before I go out driving, I say a prayer. I thought to share it with you today, and if in case you don’t have this habit, start making it one today and entrust your travel to God for protection.

"Thank you God for this day, in the name of Jesus, I ask you to keep my path clear of vehicles in front and behind me. Be the driver of this car and protect me so that I do not have an accident, nor be the cause of one. Help me get safely to my home (or work). AMEN. "

Será como un árbol plantado junto al agua, que extiende sus raíces hacia la corriente; no teme que llegue el calor, y sus hojas están siempre verdes. En época de sequía no se angustia, y nunca deja de dar fruto.

A Luz de Una Vela, By the Candlelight

Por fin de vuelta... después de días sin electricidad, y sin internet vuelvo a estar comunicada de nuevo con el mundo cibernético! Al principio de octubre, se quemaron todos los cables eléctricos de la casa, .... TODOS!! Eso paso por un alto voltaje causado por la compañía eléctrica. Luego después del huracán Sandy, volvimos a quedarnos sin energía eléctrica esta vez, causado por un cable que quedo debajo de agua posada. Después de volver a restaurar nuestro servicio eléctrico, entonces tuvimos problemas con el servicio de internet. Como que Dios me esta mandando una señal, ¿Verdad? jejeje. Por todo esto no me quejo, pues pasamos unos días felices tipo antiguo y cercano a Dios sin interrupciones modernas.

No me importó estar desconectada, pues las varias noches que pasamos a luz de una vela, permitió que mi familia y yo compartiéramos más tiempo juntos, nos ayudo a reflexionar, y a discernir entre las cosas que son realmente necesarias y las vanidades innecesarias de este mundo. Al estar sin la comodidad de la luz eléctrica, refrigerador, televisión, radio, ni teléfono, pudimos darnos cuenta que lo que venimos pensando desde hace un tiempo es totalmente cierto, .... lo más importante es la unión familiar, tener el amor de Dios grabado en nuestras mentes y corazones y vivir haciendo el bien, porque todo lo material y tecnológico, puede desaparecer en un segundo y sola quedará lo necesario... tu vida, tu alma y tu relación con Dios. 

1 Timoteo 6:7-10 ~ Porque nada trajimos a este mundo, y nada podemos llevarnos. Así que, si tenemos ropa y comida, contentémonos con eso. Los que quieren enriquecerse caen en la tentación y se vuelven esclavos de sus muchos deseos. Estos afanes insensatos y dañinos hunden a la gente en la ruina y en la destrucción. Porque el amor al dinero es la raíz de toda clase de males. Por codiciarlo, algunos se han desviado de la fe y se han causado muchísimos sinsabores.

Que simple, y que linda seria la vida si uno no se deja llevar por todos los afanes de este mundo. Entre más uno quiere, más problemas y estrés agrega uno mismo a su vida.

 

Finally back... after several days without electricity, and internet service, I'm finally reconnected with the cyber world! At the beginning of October, all electrical cables in our home were damaged due to a high voltage, the culpret, the electric company. After hurricane Sandy, we were again left without power, this time it was caused by an electrical cable that was under a puddle of water. Once our electricity was restored for good, we then had no internet service, due to our router being damaged. It's like God is sending me a sign. With all this happening, I didn't complain because we spent many happy "old time style" days being close to God without any kind of modern day interruption.

I didn't mind being disconnected, as we enjoyed several nights by a candlelight, allowing my family and I to share more time together, and to discern between what is really necessary, and the unnecessary vanity of this world. We thanked God for all that he has given us. By being left without the comfort of electrical light, refrigerator, television, radio, and telephone, we were able to prove that what we have been thinking for some time is absolutely true, what really matters is to be a united family, to have God’s love in our minds and hearts and to do good to others. All the other things can disappear in a second and what remains is your life, your soul and your relationship with God.

 1 Timothy 6:7-10 ~ For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.  For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Oh how simple, and how nice life could be if we didn’t let the vanity of this world worry us. The more we want, the more problems and stress we add to our lives.

Se el agua de coco en el Desierto, se lo mejor que puedes ser, llevando alivio, paz, bondad, refuerzo, donde quiera que vayas, recordando siempre buscar el agrado de Dios ante todo.


Colosenses 3:23-25 ~ Hagan lo que hagan, trabajen de buena gana, como para el Señor y no como para nadie en este mundo, conscientes de que el Señor los recompensará con la herencia. Ustedes sirven a Cristo el Señor. El que hace el mal pagará por su propia maldad, y en esto no hay favoritismos.

No pierdas tu tiempo tratando de ganar la aprobación de aquellos que te manipulan y que te quieren encajar a su diseño. Tu no necesitas de su aprobación, porque tienes la aprobación de Dios Todo poderoso! La escritura dice que la aprobación y bendición no depende de las personas sino de Dios. Puede ser que no te ganas la aprobación de alguien "importante", eso no importa, lo que si importa es  que tu objetivo sea ganar el favor de Dios. ¿Cómo? Se una persona de excelencia, con  actitud de fe, bendice a tus enemigos, y se bueno con la gente. Al hacer eso, encontraras gracia en el Creador. Él peleará tus batallas. Dios te traerá esas conexiones divinas: personas que te celebraran y animarán.

Be the coconut water in the desert, by being the best you can be. Always bring relief, peace, goodness, and reinforcement wherever you are, seeking the favor of God, above all things.

Colossians 3:22-25 ~ Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism. 

Don’t waste your time trying to win the approval of those who would manipulate you and put you into a box of their design. You don’t need their approval. You have the approval of the almighty God! The Scripture says promotion doesn’t come from people but from God. You may not have the approval of someone “important”, but focus on winning the favor of God instead. By being a person of excellence, by having an attitude of faith, by blessing your enemies, by being good to people. When you do that, you curry favor with the Creator. He will fight your battles. God will bring you those divine connections: people who celebrate you and cheer you on.

No Te Pierdas Los Milagros Cotidianos

Cada día, cada hora, y a cada minuto, las nubes forman figuras distintas pareciendo pinceladas en un lienzo que forma la obra de arte más grande del mundo, el cielo. ¿Haz parado alguna vez lo que estas haciendo para mirar al cielo y disfrutar de la maravillosa obra de arte que Dios nos regala cada día de gratis?

No hay un solo día donde las nubes sean iguales, nuestro Creador, pensó en eso cuando creo al mundo. El nos dió una obra de arte que podemos ver cuando alzamos nuestra vista y buscamos descanso y alivio de las cargas diarias. Pruebalo y veras que al mirar al cielo encontraras paz. Las fotos que comparto, fueron tomadas por mi hija Topaz y por mi, disfrútenlas.

Lucas 10:38-42 ~ "Marta, Marta —le contestó Jesús—, estás inquieta y preocupada por muchas cosas, pero sólo una es necesaria. María ha escogido la mejor, y nadie se la quitará."

A veces nos permitimos vivir tan estresado que no podemos apreciar las cosas simples de la vida. Podemos llegar a estar tan atrapados en nuestras metas y tan enfocados en el resultado final que menospreciamos los milagros a lo largo del camino. Como se dice en ingles “take time to smell the roses”, toma tu tiempo para disfrutar la vida. Disfrute de las diferentes personalidades que Dios ha puesto en tu vida. Disfruta cada día, y cada momento ya sea bueno o de prueba. Seguramente algo nuevo aprenderás de esa experiencia. Cenen o almuercen juntos como familia y pónganse al día con lo que cada cual está viviendo. Tenemos que disfrutar de todo lo que Dios nos ha dado, y entender que las cosas sencillas, son las más importantes.

Every day, every hour, and every minute, the clouds take different forms. They appear to be different strokes on a canvas that forms the greatest artwork in the world, the sky. Have you ever stopped what you are doing to look up and enjoy the wonderful artwork that God gives us every day? There is not one instant when the clouds are the same, they keep moving constantly. Our Creator thought about that when He created earth. He gave us a piece of art were we can raise our eyes, find beauty, and stress relief from our daily loads. Try it, you'll see that by looking at the clouds you will find peace. Appreciate what the Lord has given to you for free. The photos I share today, were taken by my daughter Topaz, and some by me, enjoy :)

Luke 10:38-42 ~ “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” 

Sometimes we let ourselves live so stressed out that we can’t appreciate the simple things in life. We can become so caught up in our goals and so focused on the end result that we miss the miracles all along the way. Take time to smell the roses. Enjoy the different personalities God has put in your life. Enjoy each day with its good and bad times, I am sure there is always an opportunity to learn new things. As a family, take time to sit together at the dinner table and catch up on things. We must enjoy what God has given us. The simple things are what mean the most.

Aun en los momento difíciles, debemos de exaltarle y agradecerle por las bendiciones que vendrán, tal y como nos prometió el Señor. Florezcamos como una flor entre las malas hierbas y las espinas en todo tiempo. ¡Alabado sea Jesús!

Jeremías 33:11 ~ “¡Alabemos al Señor de los ejércitos, porque el Señor es bueno, porque su misericordia es eterna!” Porque yo haré que cambie la suerte de esta tierra, la cual volverá a ser lo que antes fue. Yo, el Señor, lo he dicho. 

 

Even in difficult times, we should exalt him and thank him for the blessings that will come, as the Lord promised us. Bloom like a flower among the weeds and thorns at all times. Praise Jesus!

Jeremiah 33:11 ~ “Give thanks to the Lord Almighty,for the Lord is good;his love endures forever.”For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,’ says the Lord.

Motivated LOVE, AMOR Motivado....el del BUENO

Hagan lo que hagan, trabajen de buena gana, como para el Señor y no como para nadie en este mundo, conscientes de que el Señor los recompensará con la herencia. Ustedes sirven a Cristo el Señor. ~ Colosenses 3:23-24 

¿Haz  tenido momentos en que tu pareja puede volverte loco?, bueno, tuve que compartir este fragmento del libro  "El desafió del Amor" por Stephen y Alex Kendrick. Pensé que sera muy útil para aquellos momentos en los que uno puede sentirse desmotivado, como si se estuviera agotando nuestra paciencia, o para aquellos momentos en los que sentimos que no es tarea fácil seguir amando a nuestra pareja.

- ¿Su esposa se ha vuelto bastante difícil de convivir con ella últimamente? Su lentitud en recomponerse de un desacuerdo, agota tu paciencia? ¿No puede ella simplemente darte un descanso? No retengas tu amor sólo porque ella piensa diferente a ti. Ámala "como al Señor".

¿Está tu esposo desconectado, no dice mucho, y aparentemente anda melancólico sobre algo que el no está interesado en compartir? ¿Te sientes lastimada por su falta de voluntad para compartir sus sentimientos abiertamente? ¿Estás cansada de que él no te dedique tiempo, de que no se involucra con los niños de la manera que él debería? No le pagues con una doble dosis de silencio y con falta de atención hacia él. Ámalo de todos modos. "Como si fuera al Señor".

El amor que sólo es motivado por las condiciones favorables nunca va a tener suficiente oxígeno para mantenerlo respirando. Sólo el amor que se eleva como una ofrenda a Dios, regresado a él en gratitud por todo lo que ÉL ha hecho, es capaz de sostenerse a sí mismo cuando todas las otras razones han perdido su habilidad para energizar. Los que se sienten bien con un matrimonio mediocre, dejan su amor a la suerte y esperan lo mejor. Pero si tu estás comprometido a darle a tu cónyuge el mejor amor posible, tienes que disparar a la más alta motivación del amor. El amor que tiene a Dios como su objetivo principal tiene ilimitada las alturas que puede alcanzar.-

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. ~ Colossians 3:23-24

Have you ever had those times when your partner could drive you  really mad? Well, I had to share this excerpt from the book "The Love Dare" by Stephen and Alex Kendrick. I thought it will be very useful for those times when you may feel discouraged, as if you were running out of patience, or for those times when we feel we can't continue to love our partner.

Has your wife become fairly hard to live with lately? Is her slowness at getting over a disagreement wearing on your patience? Can she not just give it a rest? Don’t withhold your love just because she thinks differently from you. Love her “as to the Lord”.

Is your husband tuning you out, not saying much, apparently brooding over something he’s not interested in sharing? Do you feel hurt by his unwillingness to open up? Are you tired of him being so short with you, not even responding to the children the way he needs to? Don’t battle back with a double dose of silence and inattention. Love him anyway. “As to the Lord”.

Love that is only motivated by favorable conditions can never be assured of sufficient oxygen to keep it breathing. Only love that is lifted up as an offering to God, returned to Him in gratitude for all He’s done, is able to sustain itself when all other reasons have lost their ability to energize us. Those who are fine with mediocre marriages can leave their love to chance and hope for the best. But if you are committed to giving your spouse the best love you possibly can, you need to shoot for love’s highest motivation. Love that has God as its primary focus is unlimited in the heights it can attain.

Un obrero aprobado por Dios

Huye de las malas pasiones de la juventud, y esmérate en seguir la justicia, la fe, el amor y la paz, junto con los que invocan al Señor con un corazón limpio. 

No tengas nada que ver con discusiones necias y sin sentido, pues ya sabes que terminan en pleitos. Y un siervo del Señor no debe andar peleando; más bien, debe ser amable con todos, capaz de enseñar y no propenso a irritarse.

Así, humildemente, debe corregir a los adversarios, con la esperanza de que Dios les conceda el arrepentimiento para conocer la verdad, de modo que se despierten y escapen de la trampa en que el diablo los tiene cautivos, sumisos a su voluntad. ~ 2 Timoteo 2:22-26.

A worker approved by God  

Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 

Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 

Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. ~ 2 Timothy 2:22-2.
