LO QUE MÁS IMPORTA, What Matters Most

And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. ~ Romans 13:11-14

Lately I find time going by so fast, I hardly have time to sit down, write my recipes to share "to the world", visit my virtual friends or web search. I find myself outdoors more, enjoying nature and at home planning what to fix next or enjoying my family. Sitting next to my hubby while he watches TV, or next to my daughters while they do homework is of great joy to me. I have also been reading the book "Every day a Friday" by Joel Osteen, and it is so inspirational. In chapter five there is a section where he writes about valuing what matters to you, I have written a few lines from it that I think it is worth sharing.

If you have people in your life to love, you are rich. If you have health, you are rich. If you can talk to your family about nothing, you are rich. Maintain the proper perspective, slow down and enjoy the simple things. Take more walks through the park, look at the stars at night, I find it miraculous. My husband and I find ourselves looking at the stars for hours sometimes and we always see the greatness of our creator.

Slow down and enjoy the journey. There will always be another dream, another goal, and another challenge. Take time for what matters most. Don't let yourself become too focused and driven, so busy with what you need to do each day, that you start missing the miracles along the way.  Imitate Frank Lloyd Wright, and start zigzagging and enjoying the things God has put into your life. "It's not that life is so short, it's that we wait so long to begin".

Begin today! Hug your children, kiss your spouse, call your parent and tell them you love them, they need to listen to that too! Visit or call that aunt or uncle you have a while you don't see. We are not here forever, learn to live and enjoy what matters most!

Have a wonderful and glorious day,
