Tú Señor estás Conmigo, Psalm 23, Salmos 23

I photographed this bird resting on a high voltage electrical wire, and as I am at home editing the photo Psalm 23 came to mind. This bird flies to and from dangerous electrical wires yet he is happy and worry free. God knows needs these creatures need his protection, and He does provide them with everything they need. The same thing happens with us. When we  are walking through the darkest valley, and at times we may not know the danger we could be in, God protects and comforts his people.

Fotografié este pájaro que descansaba sobre un cable eléctrico de alta tensión y cuando empecé a editar la foto, el Salmo 23 me vino a la mente. Las aves se pasan volando entre cables eléctricos peligrosos a otros sin saber en el peligro que están. Sin embargo, ellos son felices y libres de preocupaciones. Dios conoce las necesidades de estas criaturas y sabe que necesitan de su protección, y Él lo hace. Lo mismo ocurre con nosotros. Cuando estamos caminando por el valle más oscuro, y puede ser que en ocasiones no sepamos el peligro que estamos atravesando, pero Dios siempre protege y consuela a su pueblo.

Salmos 23  (Salmo de David).

El Señor es mi pastor; nada me falta.

En verdes praderas me hace descansar,

a las aguas tranquilas me conduce,

me da nuevas fuerzas y me lleva por caminos rectos,

haciendo honor a su nombre.

Aunque pase por el más oscuro de los valles,

no temeré peligro alguno, porque tú,

Señor, estás conmigo;

tu vara y tu bastón me inspiran confianza.

Me has preparado un banquete ante los ojos de mis enemigos;

has vertido perfume en mi cabeza, y has llenado mi copa a rebosar.

Tu bondad y tu amor me acompañan a lo largo de mis días,

y en tu casa, oh Señor, por siempre viviré.

Psalm 23 (A psalm of David).

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, 

he leads me beside quiet waters,

he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk

through the darkest valley,

I will fear no evil,

for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,

they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
