What I write in the following paragraphs, is what I have learned about the origin of Halloween. After reading this and doing further investigations, you can decide whether to continue celebrating the "tradition" or staying firm in your belief.
Apparently for many Christians, the fact that a country (USA), whose culture is predominant in our hemisphere and celebrates Halloween, is good enough to adopt it as their own, without questioning its origins. One of Satan tricks is just that, to disguise the most harmful things as though they are seemingly harmless. There are many things that we do that affect us not only physically, but also spiritually. Many times we give in to what has been christened with the name of "tradition", "entertainment" or "celebrations", but what's behind some celebrations? What's in a celebration called Halloween?
What is and Where did the tradition of the celebration called Halloween?
The original name of Halloween has changed from "All hallows eve" (Holy Eve) to Halloween (name of terror). This holiday is celebrated mainly in the United States, in the night October 31. Its of Samahain Celtic origin. The Christian holiday celebrated on that day is, the day of all saints.
On this day, the god of the Celts called the spirits of the wicked who had died in that year. At the same time, other spirits roamed the fields attacking people. On the night of October 31 was a night of horror for the Celtic people because they could be attacked by ghosts, evil spirits and demons and the priests druids. It was a time to human sacrifice. Men, women, elderly and children were forcibly taken and thrown into large wooden and straw crates. The priests would set them on fire, and with these sacrifices, the priests had a Thanksgiving meal, along with the ashes.
Note: During the time of Constantine, these two holidays, the religious and the pagan were mixed in an attempt to "Christianize" the pagan day. But what a mistake! The Church trying to Christianize the heathen, failed, and instead the opposite happened.
Meaning Halloween
The Actual Meaning Halloween is linked with witchcraft and Satanism. Halloween is not an innocent party, its symbols are symbols of death and horror. The surrounding environment is of awe and fear. During the celebration of Halloween, children dress as witches, goblins, ghosts, little devils and fortune tellers. All these are representatives of the kingdom of darkness. The games played on Halloween promote fear in children and are also based on dark house full of cobwebs, blood, skeletons, black cats, bats, and dark rooms. Also the Satanic cults hold great sacrifices on this day making Halloween a very important day for them.
Where does "trick or treat" from?
Why do we want to imitate things and beings that do not inherit the kingdom of God? Worse yet, why do we allow our children to dress as them and participate in these activities?
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. -Galatians 5:19-21

The colors of this holiday are: the orange represents the fall, and black represents death.
Is the Lord happy with the celebration of Halloween?
No, the Lord is NOT happy with the celebration of Halloween.
"when you enter the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, do not learn to do after the abominations of those nations."- Deuteronomy 19-8
Should Christians celebrate Halloween?
The issue is extremely curious. Most Christians deeply believe the biblical reality that Jesus came to bring light to the world, and to eternal life, yet every year, many believers are about to find Satan and his kingdom, celebrating and in some way participating in Halloween festivity. As a Christian parent, we are responsible not to allow our children to be exposed to such celebration, who's primary intentions is to honor the dead and celebrate Satanic rites. When Satan and his celebrations seem normal to children, what hope do we have that in the future these children can properly discern between good and evil. When the Apocalypse and the New Age begin, will their training be under the leadership of the False Prophet?
I agree with Pastor Ureña, that no Christian should participate in the celebration of these activities. A great idea that learned about his church, is that since the children see that the whole school is getting ready for the celebration of Halloween, and yet their parents and members of the church are not excited by what they see as a great celebration, they organize a number of other alternative services and activities, which have been called "Divine Carnival" for children. This church tries to give their children an alternative celebration to avoid having any youngster with motivation to go to a party in a celebration that is dedicated to the worship of evil forces. I believe this is a good idea for kids.
