Let’s thank our Lord for all our blessings, for all the positive changes we have made in our lives this year. I have posted several times about being thankful and counting our blessings because I believe we should always be grateful for.... EVERYTHING. I am grateful for the fruit harvest in our farm, my family: a great mom, loving husband, wonderful, smart and obedient daughters, brother and sisters, friends, my health, my life, my faith and even the little things like birds nests, rain,and fall leaves. Everything may not be perfect and happy in my life, God only knows all the trials I have been through and am going through at the moment, but I am also thankful for those times as well.

We should thank the Lord even for our errors because they allow us to experience regret, obedience, growth and God’s merciful love even when we fail to abide by his laws. We should thank God for every single thing that goes on in our life, and open our hearts to all things that happen: good or bad. In every moment there is room for growth and blessings. Today and always,

May you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Demos gracias a nuestro Señor por todas nuestras bendiciones, por todos los cambios positivos que hemos logrado en nuestras vidas este año. Varias veces he publicado acerca de ser agradecidos y de contar nuestras bendiciones. Siempre debemos estar agradecidos....por TODO. Soy agradecida por la naturaleza, las aves, la lluvia, las flores, las cosechas de frutas en nuestro huerto, por mi familia; una gran madre, amado esposo, hijas maravillosas, inteligentes y obedientes, mis hermanos, amigos, mi salud, mi vida y mi fe. No todo es color rosa en mi vida, solo Dios sabe por todas las pruebas que he pasado y que estamos pasando mi familia y yo en estos momentos, pero aun así estoy agradecida de estos tiempos también.

Deberíamos agradecer al señor incluso por nuestros errores porque incluso estos mismos nos permiten experimentar el arrepentimiento, obediencia, crecimiento y el amor misericordioso de Dios aun cuando no cumplimos con sus leyes. Debemos agradecer a Dios por todo lo que pasa en nuestras vidas y abrir nuestros corazones a todas las cosas que suceden sean buena o malo. En cada momento hay espacio para el crecimiento y bendiciones.

DEJAR LA LUZ BRILLAR, Let The Light Shine

Nadie enciende una lámpara para después taparla con algo o ponerla debajo de la cama, sino que la pone en alto, para que tengan luz los que entran. - Lucas 8:16

En mi blog de recetas me gusta terminar con un versículo bíblico. Siento que es mi forma de dejar brillar un poco de la luz de Dios, la cual Él quiere que dejemos brillar en todo lo que hacemos. A mí y a muchísimos seguidores nos gusta. No se si sera profesional o no, pero como mis blogs son una forma de expresarme, yo siento necesario poner versículos allí. No me gustaría quitarlos pues siento que niego a Dios si lo hago. Soy un ser imperfecto como todos los humanos, pero con deseo de dejar el amor de Dios crecer en mi y compartirlo con los demás. Entiendo que solo por poner versículos dejo brillar la luz de Dios, ni seré mejor cristiana que nadie. Con buenas acciones, respetando la ley divina, entregándole a Dios lo mejor de mí y ser un buen ejemplo para mis familiares y amigos, es ahí donde brilla la Luz de Dios. No debemos ser ejemplo de cosas pecaminosas,  de odio y rencillas, sino más bien de amor, paz y fortaleza en el Señor. Como dice un locutor de la radio "Es bonito decir que uno es cristiano, pero más bonito es demostrarlo".

Si aceptamos que Dios es justicia, armonía, orden y AMOR debemos de compartirlo. Al compartir nuestra fe con otros, liberamos la luz de Dios en nosotros. Jesús enseñaba a la gente que dejara que su luz brillara, y Pablo los motivaba a buscar compañerismo en la luz. Debemos seguir estos ejemplos, consciente de las recompensas de dejar nuestra luz brillar y de pasar momentos con personas con quienes podemos orar y celebrar espiritualmente.

No dudes si esa luz existe, porque se ve plenamente en los que en Dios confían. Aunque somos llenos de imperfecciones se ve en nuestra honestidad y la buena voluntad. Seamos diferentes, siendo luz de paz, esperanza, compañerismo, respecto por los demás y amantes de Dios y su misericordioso corazón.

¿Y tú, como dejas brillar la luz de Dios en ti?

In my recipe blog I like to end each post with a biblical verse. God wants us to let his light shine in everything we do, and I feel that’s one way I could let his light shine. Many followers and I like having that verse at the end of a recipe. Sometimes I doubt if it is professional or not, but my blogs are a way to express myself and I feel I should include those verses there. If I were to remove them, I would feel that I am denying God. I am imperfect like everyone else, but with desire to let the love of God grow in me and share it with others. I understand that I am not a better Christian just because I include those verses in every post, nor that it is the only way to let God’s light shine. We let God’s light shine with good deeds, by respecting divine laws, giving God the best of us and by being a good example for our family and friends. Let’s not be example of sinful things, hate and dishonesty, but rather of love, peace and strength in the Lord. As a radio announcer says, “it is nice to say that one is a Christian, but is much nicer to show it".

If we accept that God is justice, harmony, order and LOVE, we must then share it. When we share our faith with others, we let the light of God in us shine. Jesus taught people to let their light shine, and Paul motivated them to seek companionship in the light. We must follow these examples, aware of the rewards of letting our light shine and spend time with people with whom we can pray and celebrate with spiritually.

Don't doubt the existence of that light, because it shows perfectly and bright in those that trust God. Although we are full of imperfections our light shine in our honesty and goodwill. Let's be different, being light of peace, hope, friendship, respect for others and lovers of God and his merciful heart.

Se DIFERENTE, Be DIFFERENT

"Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them". - Ephesians 5:11-15

On October 31st you can make the difference, do not live as unwise but as wise. Why dress up or decorate with something that you know it is not of God? Do not follow, be different, be a light in the darkness. Those who believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, should not participate in any Halloween activity, although many things seem harmless, cute and inoffensive, each and everyone one has its meaning, history and purpose. May OUR purpose be that of celebrating and serving a LIVE king and not the prince of death.

El 31 de octubre tú puedes hacer la diferencia, NO vivas como necio sino como sabio. ¿Porque querer disfrazarse o decorar con algo que tu mismo sabes que no es de Dios? No sigas la corriente, debes ser luz en las tinieblas. Los que creemos en Jesús Cristo como nuestro salvador, no debemos participar en las fiestas de Halloween, aunque muchas de las cosas parezcan inofensivas, cada una tiene su significado y propósito. OJO, que nuestro propósito de celebrar sea el un rey VIVO y no a un rey de Muerte.

Are you exhausted? ¿Estas exhausto?

“Come to me, all you who are struggling hard and carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Put on my yoke, and learn from me. I’m gentle and humble. And you will find rest for yourselves. My yoke is easy to bear, and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28

With schedules so demanding that drain our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual life , we need to constantly refresh ourselves to maintain both physical and spiritual strength. The Holy Spirit gives us strength to continue with God's schedule for us. God plans for us to include times of rest and relaxation in our schedules. In Mark 6:30-31 we can see that even the disciples needed rest, we are not any different and we should be glad we have Jesus to support us.

Time spent with the Lord brings renewal and refreshment. Have you taken time lately to rest, and leave your burdens to the Lord?

"Vengan a mí todos ustedes que están cansados y agobiados, y yo les daré descanso. Carguen con mi yugo y aprendan de mí, pues yo soy apacible y humilde de corazón, y encontrarán descanso para su alma. Porque mi yugo es suave y mi carga es liviana." - Mateo 11:28-30

Con horarios tan exigentes que agotan nuestra vida física, mental, emocional y espiritual, tenemos que constantemente tomar tiempo para descansar y mantener fortaleza. El Espíritu Santo nos da esa fuerza extra que necesitamos y así continuar con el plan de Dios para nosotros. Dios ha planeado todo para que nosotros incluyamos tiempo de descanso y relajación en nuestros horarios. En Marcos 6:30-31 podemos ver que hasta los discípulos necesitaron descanso y Jesús lo llamo a descansar, así como ellos, igualmente a nosotros.

Tiempo con el señor es de renovación y recarga. ¿Has tomado tiempo últimamente para descansar y dejar tus cargas al Señor?

Do you have God in mind? ¿TIENES A DIOS PRESENTE?

Godless people have slipped in among you. They turn the grace of our God into unrestrained immorality and deny our only master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Judgment was passed against them a long time ago. - Jude 1:4

There are those who leave out everything that has to do with God in their lives, for various reasons, sometimes because they may believe that Christianity is only for sinners, the needy or for people that lack education, etc. They make up any excuse to feel superior, as if they were gods capable of tackling their own problems. These are the people that when faced with trials, difficult times or sufferings, find themselves alone and unable to resolve their problems; asking then “where is God?”

What I can say to you is that God is in the place where you put Him in your life. If you don’t even mention God in your daily life, much less pray or read the Bible, where do you expect God to place you?

It won't be the same for a person who in all his or her actions and tasks seeks to please God before the world, then a person who is delighted in a lifestyle full of sin and who’s actions do not please nor go by what God’s commands. It is true that God is merciful and loves everyone equally, but understands this: God loves the sinner but He detests the sin.

In what place do you have God in your life?

El problema es que se han infiltrado entre ustedes ciertos individuos que desde hace mucho tiempo han estado señalados para condenación. Son impíos que cambian en libertinaje la gracia de nuestro Dios y niegan a Jesucristo, nuestro único Soberano y Señor. - Judas 1:4

Hay quienes quitan todo lo que tiene que ver con Dios de sus vidas, por varias razones, entra ellas porque piensa que la cristiandad tiene que ver con los pecadores, los necesitados, los que no tienen educación, etc. Buscan cualquier pretexto para sentirse superiores, Dioses capaces de enfrentar los problemas por si solos. Luego pasan por tiempos difíciles, tiempos de pruebas, de sufrimientos y se ven solo e incapaces de resolver sus problemas y se preguntan ¿Donde está Dios?

Amigo, te digo que Dios está en el lugar donde tú lo coloques. Si tú ni siquiera lo mencionas, mucho menos ora o lees la Biblia. ¿En qué lugar esperas tú que Dios tenga tu vida?

No sera lo mismo para una persona que en todas sus obras trata de agradar a Dios antes que al mundo, a una persona que sus obras en nada agradan a Dios y se deleita en el pecado. Bien es cierto de que Dios es misericordioso y nos ama a todos por igual, pero entendamos esto: Dios quiere al pecador pero aborrece el pecado.

¿En qué lugar tienes tú a Dios?

Ministers to do what's Good, MINISTROS PARA HACER LO CORRECTO

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. - Romans 13:3-4
 
In these days, are our rulers (authority in general) really working for God? Are they ministers of God? Are they really avengers to execute wrath on those who practice evil? Nowadays it seems as our nations are moving further away from God, rather than getting closer to Him. In actuality many laws are being passed, that are indifferent to God's scriptures, and in addition to making me wonder, I also feel indignant. Deficiencies and inequalities in the area of ​​education and the health continue. Meanwhile, the same people within the same political and criminal circles, continue to become richer.

All this without mentioning the lost of faith and God's love in many homes.  As I mentioned in the previous post, Our Decisions, when we misuse our free will, we can cause much grief to others and to ourselves. This is why we must make our decisions wisely and influenced by divine wisdom. No matter if we are a nation president, governor, congressman, police, teacher, pastor, father or mother, we are authority and we must act as ministers of God complying always under the laws of God (see Deuteronomy 5:1-22, and 1 Corinthians 6:8-11), and at all times carrying the sword of justice.

Porque los gobernantes no están para infundir terror a los que hacen lo bueno sino a los que hacen lo malo. ¿Quieres librarte del miedo a la autoridad? Haz lo bueno, y tendrás su aprobación, pues está al servicio de Dios para tu bien. Pero si haces lo malo, entonces debes tener miedo. No en vano lleva la espada, pues está al servicio de Dios para impartir justicia y castigar al malhechor. - Romanos 13:3-4

¿En la actualidad, realmente trabajan nuestros gobernantes (la autoridad en general) para Dios? ¿Acaso son ellos ministros de Dios? ¿En realidad están al servicio de Dios para impartir justicia y castigar al malhechor? Hoy en día nuestras naciones parecen estar alejándose de Dios que acercándose más a Él. Hay muchas leyes que últimamente se están aprobando, indiferentes a las escrituras, y que además de uno asombrarse, hace que uno se sienta indignado. Sigue la pobreza, las deficiencias y desigualdad en el área de educación y en el departamento de salud. Mientras, las mismas personas en el ámbito político y criminal se hacen cada vez más ricos.

Todo esto sin mencionar la pérdida de la fe, y falta del amor de Dios en los hogares de muchos.  Como dije en la entrada anterior, Nuestras Decisiones, cuando usamos mal nuestro libre albedrío, podemos ocasionar mucha aflicción a nuestros semejantes y a nosotros mismos. Por eso nuestras decisiones deben de ser sabias e influenciadas por sabiduría divina. Ya seamos presidente de una nación, gobernador, diputado, policía, maestro, pastor, padre o madre, somos la autoridad y debemos actuar como ministros
bajo la ley (véase Deuteronomio 5: 1-22 y 1 Corintios 6:8-11 ) de Dios  y en todo tiempo llevar la espada, para impartir justicia.

Compararse, TO COMPARE

Clave #2 para vivir feliz: No Compararse Con Los Demás

Cada uno debe examinar su propia conducta. Si es buena, podrá sentirse satisfecho de sus acciones, pero no debe compararse con los demás. - Galatas 6:4

¿CUÁL ES EL PROBLEMA? Tendemos a compararnos con los demás: a veces con quienes tienen menos que nosotros, pero por lo general con quienes son mas ricos , mas fuertes o mas hábiles. En cualquier caso, siempre nos perjudica. 

¿CUÁL ES LA SOLUCIÓN: Aprender a vernos y a valorarnos con los mismos ojos con que nos ve Dios. Jesús le dijo a Samuel, No te dejes impresionar por su apariencia ni por su estatura, pues yo lo he rechazado. La gente se fija en las apariencias, pero yo me fijo en el corazón. - 1 Samuel 16:7.

Las comparaciones nunca nos harán ningún bien, o nos creeremos mejores que los demás, o al contrario, vivimos permanentemente frustrados. Dios no nos compara con nadie, Él lo que valora es nuestro corazón, que es lo que deseamos, pensamos y sentimos. Él sabe que tenemos limitaciones y quiere aprendamos a aceptarlas.

Por lo tanto, muestren humildad bajo la poderosa mano de Dios, para que él los exalte a su debido tiempo. Descarguen en él todas sus angustias, porque él tiene cuidado de ustedes. - 1 pedro 5:6-7. Si seguimos este consejo Dios cuidara de nosotros y seremos felices por lo que somos y tenemos. Para uno, la otra persona, puede ser mejor o peor o tener más o menos que uno, pero para Dios puede ser todo lo contrario. Busquemos pues agradarle a Dios, hacer las cosas no buscando la aprobación de los demás, ni la admiración de hombres, sino lo que sentimos correcto y justo en nuestros corazones. Debemos siempre ser honestos, primero con uno mismo y luego con lo demás. Así, sea cual sea nuestra decisión, acción o pensamiento sera lo correcto y justo bajo la gracia de Dios ¿Acaso hay mayor motivo da satisfacción que ese?

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? We tend to compare ourselves with others, sometimes those who have less than us, but usually with those who are richer, stronger or more skilful. In any case, it hurts us. 

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? To learn to see ourselves with the same eyes our LORD sees us. The Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” - 1 Samuel 16:7.

Comparisons will never do us any good, or we will believe we are better than others, or on the contrary, we will live permanently frustrated. God does not compare us to anyone, because He values our hearts, what we want, think and feel. He knows that we have limitations and wants us to learn to accept them.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7. If we follow this advice God will take care of us and we will be happy with who we are and what we have. For us, the other person, may be better or worse or have more or less than us, but for God it can be the total opposite of what we think. Seek to please God, and not the approval of others or the admiration of men. Do what the grace of God makes you feel is right and just in your heart. Always be honest with yourself first and then with the rest. Thus, whatever our decision, act or thought will be, it will be right and just under the grace of God. Isn't this reason enough to bring great satisfaction?

Porque la raíz de todos los males es el amor al dinero, el cual algunos, por codiciarlo, se extraviaron de la fe y acabaron por experimentar muchos dolores. - 1 Timoteo 6:10

La publicidad nos hace creer que siempre necesitamos algo mas. Nos empuja a comprar lo ultimo, lo mejor o lo mas grande, sin importar cuanto tengamos que trabajar para conseguirlo. Es que resulta muy fácil dejarse seducir por los encantos del dinero. El rey Salomón, dijo "Quien ama el dinero, jamás tiene suficiente. Quien ama las riquezas, nunca recibe bastante. ¡Y también esto es vanidad! " Eclesiastés 5:10

¿Cual es la solución?

Imitar a Jesús, quien amaba mas a la gente que a las cosas. El mismo afirmó:"Hay mas felicidad en dar que en recibir" Hechos 20:35. Si dedicamos tiempo y recursos a las personas, estas se sentirán impulsadas a hacer lo mismo. Jesús también aconseja: "Den, y se les dará una medida buena, incluso apretada, remecida y desbordante. Porque con la misma medida con que ustedes midan, serán medidos" Lucas 6:38.

Asi que haste un auto examen y preguntate: "¿De veras necesito todo lo que quiero comprar ?" ¿Puedo simplificar mi estilo de vida?" Si administramos bien nuestro tiempo y nuestras energías, podremos concentrarnos en las cosas más importantes: ayudar al prójimo y servir a Dios, quien nos ha dado todo. Nadie puede servir a dos amos, pues odiará a uno y amará al otro, o estimará a uno y menospreciará al otro. Ustedes no pueden servir a Dios y a las riquezas. - Mateo 6:24

Key #1 to be happy: Practice Giving

For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. - 1 Timothy 6:10

Advertising makes us believe that we always need something more. It pushes us to buy the latest, best or the greatest, no matter how much we have to work to get it. It very easy to be seduced by the charms of money. King Solomon, "Anyone who loves money never has enough. Anyone who loves wealth is never satisfied with what he gets.That doesn't have any meaning either. " Ecclesiastes 5:10

So what is the solution?
Imitate Jesus, who loved people more than all things. He himself said: "In everything I did, I showed you that we must work hard and help the weak. We must remember the words of the Lord Jesus. He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35. If we spend our time and resources to help people, they will also feel driven to do the same. Thus, Jesus advised: "Give, and it will be given to you. A good amount will be poured into your lap. It will be pressed down, shaken together, and running over. The same amount you give will be measured out to you." Luke 6:38.

Ask yourself the following: "Do I really need all that I buy?  Could I simplify my lifestyle". If we manage our time and our energy well, we can concentrate on more important things like: helping others and serving God, who has given us everything. No one can serve two masters at the same time. He will hate one of them and love the other. Or he will be faithful to one and dislike the other. You can't serve God and Money at the same time. - Matthew 6:24

Telling God what to Do, Decirle a Dios que Hacer

Pero tú me dirás: Entonces, ¿por qué todavía nos echa la culpa Dios? ¿Quién puede oponerse a su voluntad?Respondo: ¿Quién eres tú para pedirle cuentas a Dios? ¿Acaso le dirá la olla de barro al que la modeló: "¿Por qué me hiciste así?" ¿No tiene derecho el alfarero de hacer del mismo barro unas vasijas para usos especiales y otras para fines ordinarios? - Romanos 9:19-21

A lo largo de los años pensé que tenía las soluciones adecuadas para Dios resolver mis problemas. En mi mente figuraba una lista de soluciones para Él como: cambia a mi vecino el cascarrabias, sana a mi amiga de cáncer, has que mi esposo sea dedicado como los descritos en los libros sobre el matrimonio.

Muchas de estas cosas sucedieron y otras no. Muchas veces sentí que Dios me había decepcionado. Ahora veo que estaba usando la oración como un arma de control. Había estado tratando de controlar a Dios, Como si eso es posible!

Ahora con mi actitud cambiada, puedo llevar mis peticiones a Dios de una manera distinta. Aun soy ferviente y consistente, pero no tengo que decirle a Dios que hacer. Ahora solo miro, espero y copero. Aceptar la soberanía de Dios es un paso más de entrega al Todopoderoso.

One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?" But who are you, a mere human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’ "Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for disposal of refuse? - Romans 9:19-21

Throughout the years I thought I had the right solutions for God to solve my problems. In my mind I listed solutions for him like: Change my grouchy neighbor, cure my friend from cancer, make my husband devoted as the ones described on the how- to books on marriage.

Some of these things happened and some of them didn’t. I felt that God disappointed me too many times. I see now that I have been using prayer as a weapon of control. I have tried to control God, as if that is possible!

With a surrendered attitude, I can bring my request to God in a different way. I’m still fervent and consistent, but I don’t have to tell God what to do. Instead, I watch, wait and cooperate. To accept God’s sovereignty is one more necessary surrender.

Nada se Pierde en el Espíritu, Nothing is lost in the Spirit

Por eso les digo: Crean que ya han recibido todo lo que estén pidiendo en oración, y lo obtendrán. - Marcos 11:24

Nunca se puede perder nada en el mundo de Dios. Debemos descansar seguros de que todo lo que es legítimamente de uno, regresará a uno y debemos dar gracias porque esto es verdad.

Al orar le pedimos a Dios primeramente que nos perdone, pedimos por: el pan de cada día, nuestra salud, nuestros familiares, nuestro país, ayuda económica y nuestra salvación. Cuando oramos con FE, debemos descansar seguros de que Dios cumplirá su promesa. Recordando siempre ser sabios y reconocer que todo viene a su tiempo, cuando Dios lo crea necesario y como el cree que es mejor para nosotros. A veces pedimos cosas que nos dañaran espiritualmente, o queremos lo que pedimos al instante, pero Dios obra de manera misteriosa y hace que cada bendición venga a su debido tiempo y en formas inesperadas. Así que no te desesperes, pide con fe y espera en Jehová seguro de que tus respuestas están en Él. Aún cuando las apariencias nos dicen que hemos perdido algo, podemos afirmar que Nada se Pierde en el Espíritu.

Señor, que se haga tu voluntad y no la mía, perdona mis ofensas, ayúdame a reconocerlas y a no volverlas  a cometer. Tu sabes lo que yo necesito y lo que me pertenece. Ayúdame a ser sabia para recibir mis bendiciones, vivir acorde a tus enseñanzas y ser luz de tu amor. AMEN

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. - Mark 11:24

We could never lose anything in the world of God. We can rest assured that everything that is legitimate ours, will return to us and we should give thanks, for this is true.

In our prayers we ask God for forgiveness, we ask for: our daily bread, our health, our families, our country, financial blessings and our salvation. When we pray with faith, we must rest assured that God will fulfill his promise, and must remember always to be wise and recognize that everything comes in His time and when God sees is best for us. Sometimes we ask for things that will damage us spiritually and want what we ask for at once, but God works in mysterious ways and makes every blessing comes in due time and in unexpected ways. So do not despair, ask in faith and wait in the Lord, knowing that your answers are in God. Even when circumstances tell us that we have lost, we can proclaim that, Nothing is lost in the Holy Spirit.

Lord, make thy will and not mine, forgive my offenses, help me recognize them and not to commit them again. You know what I need and what belongs to me. Help me be wise to receive my blessings, live according to your teachings and be part of your light of love. AMEN!
